The ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals 2006 held on the 26th, 27th, 28th, and 29th of October 2006 within the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. A four day event jam packed with a wide range of racing which included over 20 different types of categories such as Funny Car, Pro Car Stock, Pro Stock Motocycle, and Top Fuel where the annually held Budweiser Shootout offered a $100,000-to-win bonus event An event which most definitely crowned it's victor the "Drag King," with a wide range of cars and bikes easily going down the quarter mile in the 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 second range. With cars easily pushing over 1000 horsepower and pushing pass 300 mph, this event without a doubt made the Fast and the Furious seem slow and cumbersome Let's not forget about the burning rubber that constantly lingered over the race track due to the participants heating up their slicks for traction, the methanol fuel which would make any avid automotive enthusiast tear profusely from both eyes, and the ear numbing sound of the race cars and bikes as they passed down the quarter mile Found towards the right of the page are a few photos from Day 2 from the 2006 ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals as well as a link to it's entire gallery. We regret to say there are no photos from Day 3 and 4 of the event due to an eight08.net staff member being busy hitting the Las Vegas Strip, casino's, and keeping to a strict liquid diet throughout his stay in the Sin City.
